Session 2: Friday 31st October
Session 3: Friday 7th November
Session 4: Friday 14th November
Time: 12.15 - 13:45
Please only register if you are able to attend all 4 sessions.
Location: Level 8, Chemistry Building, South Ken Campus.
This workshop is only open to Imperial students.
Please note: In order to attend this course, we will ask you to attend a 15-minute online mandatory pre-consultation with one of our practitioners. This is to assess your suitability for the course. If the practitioner believes that this is not the right time for you to attend the course, they will discuss other options for support with you.
This 4-week course is designed for people who experience low mood and would like to learn techniques to manage it better, whilst connecting with other students who are experiencing similar challenges.
The Mood Boost course is an opportunity to learn new skills and tools which you can use to feel happier, more relaxed and confident, and less sad, irritated, or worried. The course includes information about low mood, how to set realistic goals, ways to get a better balance of activities in your life, ways to manage unhelpful thoughts, and how to improve your general wellbeing.
The course is based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which is an effective evidence-based intervention for low mood and will be led by two of our Student Counsellors.
This is a 4-week course and participants will need to commit to attending all four sessions in order to fully benefit from and complete the course. If you are unable to attend all 4 dates listed below, please wait until the next course is delivered.
What students are saying:
‘I always knew I wasn’t the only one struggling with low mood at Imperial, but there’s a big difference between knowing that you’re not alone and feeling like you’re not alone’
