About this event

  • 1 hour

Interoception (sometimes called the 8th sensory system) refers to the sensory information from within our bodies, such as understanding hunger, thirst, anxiety and much more. Within this session we will consider the importance of interocetion and interoceptive awareness (IA) in completing everyday activities. We will consider the impact on school life, and think about ways to improve interoceptive awareness to support sensory and emotional well being. These sessions are open to any member of school staff in Cheshire East or Cheshire West and Chester. Ideally you should attend our sensory processing training first before booking onto this session.
