As trans rights and gender nonconformity are increasingly under threat, this is a particularly important issue to focus on during this year’s pride month.Trans and non-binary people are too often left out of any debate on gender and the outdated narratives often excludes them from discussions, which is one of the reasons why we’ve recently rolled out our Trans and Non-binary Company Policy at Zego, and also why we want to provide a platform to hear from trans and non-binary representatives.The panel event includes the following guests:Alexis Meshida - Model, trans activist and campaigner.Peter Tatchell - Peter is a lifetime campaigner for LGBTQ+ rights and recently featured in the documentary ’Hating Peter Tatchell’ on Netflix. He also runs the Peter Tatchell Foundation which seeks to promote and protect human rights globally.Emma Cusdin - Emma is from Global Butterflies, an organisation dedicated to raising awareness of trans and non-binary issues in the business sector through training, adviosry services and support.Alex Woolhouse - Alex is from Mermaids, one of the UK’s leading LGBTQ+ charities which seeks to educate and inform wider society on gender identity.At the event, we will hear from each of the panelists about themselves and their personal experiences.
