Morocco Bound presents live folk music from Something Sleeps.

London-based female led folk band &quot;Something Sleeps&quot; features songwriters Fiona Fey &amp; Rey Yusuf (formerly Tell Tale Tusk), violinist-singer Monica Viñoly and singing cellist Josh Considine.Something Sleeps bring you an evening of original folk inspired songs, sung in stunning close vocal harmony. Featuring beautiful string arrangements on the cello and violin, the music is gentle, thought provoking and engaging. As well as original material, Something Sleeps reimagine traditional folk songs from the British Isles, the Canary Islands, Ukraine and North America, giving old stories and lesser known tales a contemporary voice.It’s the vocal harmonies that grab attention first, inviting us to really listen to the skilfully written lyrics. Set within soulful string arrangements, Something Sleeps create emotive contemporary folk music, with politically aware and gently provocative poetry inspired by nature and the times we live in.The musical bond the band shares really shines through, creating many a joyous moment on stage. Fiona and Rey have worked together for over a decade, touring around the UK and Europe sharing their love of vocal harmonies. They have captured the imagination of international audiences, and were awarded the prize for &quot;Best Instrumentalist&quot; at Haizetara festival in Spain. The panel of judges decided to treat their voices as one instrument based on their &quot;seamless voice blending&quot; and intricate harmony writing. Completing the lineup with esteemed singing violinist Monica Viñoly (of Graffiti Classics), and cellist/vocalist Josh Considine.Something Sleeps create a rich musical landscape, leaving audiences feeling relaxed, uplifted and entertained.Tickets £10 // £12 OTDDoors 7pm
