Mosaic Workshop

The Craft House was established in 2016 in Saltaire by April Chamberlain, who continues to manage the business. Having started in Saltaire, The Craft House is now run from new, larger, premises at 109-111 Main Street, Bingley. We have a lovely ground floor cafe and welcoming workshop spaces on the first floor (reached by stairs with two handrails). We offer a vibrant programme of art, craft and textile workshops and courses for adults, enabling you to develop existing skills as well as try new activities. Working closely with a team of talented artist/maker tutors, we provide expertly-run classes in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. We cater for a range of skill levels, from first-time participants to people with existing skills (including other professional artists and makers looking to develop their techniques). Our emphasis is on encouraging creativity and enjoyment whilst passing on key skills. We also cater for private parties and events - please telephone us or call into the cafe to discuss. Please note that all our events are subject to us achieving minimum booking requirements, as we need to ensure they are commercially viable for our tutors - if we have to cancel an event, we will refund your ticket and give you as much notice as possible.

The Craft House

Join Kim Searle, using upcycled pottery, create your own small mosaic.

With Kim SearleIn this workshop we'll turn mosaic tiles, broken crockery and lots of other up-cycled pieces into mosaic works of art. You'll be able to choose from a large choice of base shapes to work on and learn the best adhesives to use on each one. You'll be given a bag of grout to take home to finish your pieces at a later date - a demo will be done to show you what to do. If you have any objects you'd like to bring to mosaic with, please feel free to.  Cost £25 per person - includes all materials and equipment use.Skill LevelSuitable for beginners and upwards.
