About this event

2 one day mosaic workshops - 4 May and 22 June, 10-4, £55

Book both workshops £100

4 May -

Will focus on working on a flat surface to produce a tile. If you wish to bring along your own design and favourite, inspiring pieces of china, please do. There will be plenty of inspiration on a garden or nature theme and a selection of materials to choose from.

22 June -

For this workshop you are invited to bring along old clay plant pots and planters and give them a new lease of life by upcycling them into beautiful objects. Collect old china that has been chipped and learn how to safely create a new work of art, bring a design and personal pieces including beads, jewelllery, stones and shells you may want to include or have collected. Tesserae will be included.

Both workshops are perfect for beginners or for those who wish to expand their knowledge of mosaic.

Please bring an apron or wear old clothes as mosaic making is a bit messy!

About the tutor: Delia Taylor-Brook
Delia creates beautiful mosaic work using carefully selected pieces of discarded china, tesserae and found objects. Sometimes broken heirlooms revive memories, images tell new stories. Delia is a fine art painter, inspired by nature who became fascinated by the jewel-like colours, designs and patterns of glass and ceramics and the exciting possibilities of this ancient art in combining found objects in new compositions.
