Moth Night
Join Friends of Lightoaks Park and wildlife expert Dave Winnard for an evening all about moths!
We’ll be learning all about the massive number of different species we have in the UK and setting up a trap so we can see some of our resident moths up close!
The event will start at 8pm with a walk around the park looking for leaf mines/signs of moths. We'll then set up (humane) traps at around 9:30pm and stay with them for as long as people want (up to a few hours) and we'll see what we can catch!
The event is free but, as usual, we will be asking for donations towards the upkeep of the park and to enable us to put more of these incredible activities on in future. Our recommended donations for this event are £5 for adults and £3 for children. Donations will be collected at the start of the event.
