On May 15, 2025, nasa4nasa will present an open studio moment showcasing their work-in-progress Promises at Moussem Studio (Zeemtouwersstraat 6, Rue des Mégissiers 1070, Brussels) at 19:00.
Promises unfolds through slow, taut movements that explore distance, tenderness, appearing, and disappearing. The piece is a continuous attempt to transcend the passage of time, seeking to exist within time rather than move through it. At its core, a promise is inherently tied to failure, yet remains driven by hope, possibility, and potential. The absence of a fulfilled promise becomes a testament to longing—an unattainable desire projected onto the Other, forever out of reach.
In Promises, nasa4nasa’s choreography embodies the making of an awaited promise: a synchronicity that perpetually fractures, a repeated effort to capture time as it slips away. Through their movements, the collective confronts the bodies we long for, the ones we have grown attuned to, while reflecting on those lost or grieved.
Join us for a glimpse into this ongoing process and experience how Promises continually reinvents the space between anticipation and fulfillment.
