MSF & Missing Maps Mapathon

Médicos Sin Fronteras (MSF)es una organización de acción médico-humanitaria: asistimos a personas amenazadas por conflictos armados, violencia, epidemias o enfermedades olvidadas, desastres naturales y exclusión de la atención médica. MSF ofrece asistencia médica basada en la necesidad, sin tener en cuenta la raza, religión, sexo o afiliación política de las personas. Nuestras acciones están guiadas por la ética médica y los principios de neutralidad e imparcialidad.El ProyectoMissingMaps, es un proyecto de colaboración abierto a la comunidad que busca crear mapas de las áreas más vulnerables en los países en vías de desarrollo, para que ONGs locales e internacionales e individuos puedan utilizar los mapas y los datos para dar una mejor respuesta a situaciones de emergencia. Entre otras organizaciones son miembros actuales de Missing Maps: Médicos Sin Fronteras, La Cruz Roja Británica, La Cruz Roja De Estados Unidos y Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT).Maria de Maeztu Unit of Excellence Coordination, Department of Information and Communication Technologies(DTIC-UPF)Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare. MSF offers assistance to people based on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation. Our actions are guided by medical ethics and the principles of neutrality and impartiality.TheMissingMapsprojectis an open collaboration that aims to map the most vulnerable places in the developing world, in order that international and local NGOs, and individuals can use the maps and data to better respond to crises affecting the areas. What is it? 
The aim of the Missing Maps Project is to map the most crisis-prone parts of the developing world. With your help we can directly improve the lives of some of the planet’s most vulnerable people.
The <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://www.msf.es/" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">MSF</A> &amp; <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://www.missingmaps.org/" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Missing Maps</A> project April Barcelona Mapathon, has been confirmed for Thursday 28th of April, with the support of Maria de Maeztu Unit of Excellence Coordination, Department of Information and Communication Technologies at Pompeu Fabra University (<A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://portal.upf.edu/web/etic/" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">DTIC-UPF</A>).
Both beginners and experienced mappers are welcome to join this mapathon, please choose your ticket according to your level of mapping skills.
 
What do I need?
Just a laptop (you must bring your own with you), a mouse and enthusiasm (mouse isn't absolutely necessary but makes the mapping A LOT faster).   
Where is it? The mapathon will take place at Communication Campus UPF, Roc Boronat 138 (classroom 52.019), 08018 Barcelona
