Join us for an epic mountain adventure taking us to the summits of Carn and Muck mountains where we will enjoy a campfire & s'mores while watching the sunset.

This hike is an amazing stand alone adventure but it also forms part of the Bucklist Bottles Series .. full details below ⬇️ Check it out.

We will start off at Ott Carpark and follow the Ott Track to meet the Mourne Wall. we will then follow the Wall to the summit of Carn Mountain and on to Muck.

We will arrive at the summit if Muck in time for the sunsetting .. fingers crossed for a clear sunny evening.
We will stop here for a while and enjoy a campfire with S'mores whilst watching the sunset.

We will then head back to the cars and enjoy a night hike adventure on the way.

This hike is beginners level with regards to how technical the route is. It has been marked as beginners/intermediate due to the night hike element.

Distance: 8km

Total Ascent: 400m

Approx Time: 3/4hrs

Level: Beginner/Intermediate *only classified as /intermediate due to the night hike back.

Terrain: boggy ground, rocky track, open mountain, uneven rocky terrain


LEAVE NO TRACE

All our events follow the principles of the Leave No Trace Policy. All are fires are contained within a fire pit ensuring the ground is not damaged.

Can I go on my own?

Of course, there are lots of people that join our events on their own, it won’t be long until you are making new mountain mates!


What you will need to wear:

Suitable footwear- this includes walking boots or waterproof hiking shoes. Boots recommended due to boggy ground

Walking trousers or leggings (no jeans/cotton)

Insulating layers such as fleece or wool and a jacket


What you will need to bring with you:

Small backpack

Waterproof jacket and trousers

Hat and gloves

Spare insulating layers - it coukd be cold when sitting at the summit.

Water and snacks

Head torch and spare batteries.

Gaiters : optional


Are you ready for an adventure? You will get a guided hike with qualified and experienced mountain leaders who are outdoor first aid trained and will be carrying first aid and emergency equipment for your safety.

IF WE CANCEL OR POSTPONE an event for any reason, you will have the option of:

1. Completing your activity on a rescheduled date

2. Receive a full refund.

If you notify us with over 14 days notice of the event start date credit will be given that you can use against other events. Within 14 days notice of an event there is no credit given and we do not offer exchanges/transfer of your ticket onto another event.

RESCHEDULED EVENT

If an event is rescheduled and you agree to the new date, your booking is transferred to the new event and this cancellation policy will apply.
