Music for Spring

Having formed in early 2012, Edinburgh Brass Band is a relatively new addition to the city of Edinburgh. The band is a non-contesting band, with the focus on playing for enjoyment. We are also non-auditioning and welcome brass players of all ages and abilities.The band has been very busy since day one, performing a number of successful concerts in addition to appearances at private events and local community and charity events across the city.

A light spring concert featuring performances by the Edinburgh Brass Band and the Forget Me Notes Choir

St John's Church

Edinburgh Brass Band are delighted to be performing a light spring concert with special guests the Forget Me Notes choir. The <a href="https://www.forgetmenotes.org.uk" title="https://www.forgetmenotes.org.uk" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Forget Me Notes</a> choir is a dementia inclusive choir based in Edinburgh. In addition to performances by the band, this concert will be a fantastic opportunity to hear the choir perform some of their favourite songs in the beautiful accoustic of St John's. For the first time, the choir will also perform some pieces together with the band which promises to be very special. This will be a dementia friendly performance. To help support this and create a relaxed environment: • There will be a designated quiet space accessible before, during, and after the concert • Audience members will be free to move around and to come and go from the venue at any point throughout the performance • Audience lighting will also remain on throughout the concert For those who are able and who wish to support the Forget Me Notes charity there will be an opportunity to leave a donation at the end of the performance. All donations will suport the charity's work with the choir and their community Music Memories sessions.
