Tour de Moon is a cosmic adventure, a nationwide large-scale public festival of immersive experiences and live events developed in collaboration with our “universal satellite”: the Moon, seen as a character, a landscape and a prompt for radical imagination. The festival, composed of 8 programming strands, aims to reach millions of visitors across the UK and the world, through live and virtual experiences, supporting youth, nightlife creators, scientists and digital creators through cooperation. With Tour de Moon, we seek new beginnings, to empower others to create, to initiate, to innovate with new thinking and pluralistic practices so that history does not repeat itself on and beyond Earth.

<h3>About this event</h3><h3>Tour de Moon invites you to the free Music Incubator Programme Symposium in collaboration with the charity University of the Underground, commissioned by UNBOXED: Creativity in the UK.</h3>This free invite will grant access to a symposium with industry folk, artists, and international practitioners on the 20th of October from 13:00 - 18:00 at the Dalston Jazz Bar.To RSVP to the event please reserve a free ticket Running order:13:00 - 14:00 - Welcome and introduction to the University of the Underground with Dr. Nelly Ben Hayoun-Stépanian, chairwoman of the University of the Underground , Tom Burke, sound producer and senior tutor and thinker, creator and writer, Dr. Aditi Jaganathan. 14:00 - 14:40 - Meet cultural producer, writer, DJ and member of music+arts venue SODAA collective, Anjali Prashar-Savoie 14:40 - 15:20 - Chat with grassroots neo-rave Guttering Collective&#x27;s co-founders, DJs Varvara Shvetsova and Luke Magill 15:20 to 15:40 - Break15:40- 16:20 - Meet legendary singer, songwriter and master guitarist Dave Okumu 16:20 - 17:20 - Panel discussion moderated by Nelly Ben Hayoun-Stéphanian Ph.D17:00 - 18:00 - Group gathering, celebration, first drink on us*﻿Please note this event will be recordedThe Music Incubator Programme is focused on skills development to equip participants with some fundamentals and support the production of participants musical projects. This is a programme targeted towards former Tour de Moon participants and artists – but it is also open virtually to visiting participants.A selected group of participants will write, record, build community and document their world, while working with a network of music collaborators, receiving feedback and guidance from University of the Underground tutors. This is an opportunity to develop their music within the critical context of the University of the Underground.The Free Music Incubator Programme is a development programme that will build upon musical encounters made during our free nationwide festival Tour de Moon.Over this 2-month music-based development programme Tour de Moon former artists and participants will produce EPs, podcasts, publications and creative interventions. They will be asked to document their processes and present their findings and outcomes as a part of the final show.Please note this free event is for over 18s only and you will be required a valid form of ID (Acceptable forms of ID are a valid passport, photo driving license, or National Identity Card.
