Music Production: Introduction to Ableton Taster Session

About this Event
If you’ve ever been interested in music production then Ableton Live is the event for you - anyone can attend, even non students and students from other institutions! This workshop is a tester session perfect for beginners; no experience is necessary - all you need is a pair of headphones (good quality would be best but not necessary!), internet connection, and a laptop which meets the minimum system requirements!
During this session you will be guided through your first steps with the software, create your own beats and melodies, and encouraged to ask any questions you have along the way. If you are unable to access what is required to join the session then please let us know!

Emily Johnson:
Emily Johnson AKA Emily J Electric is a musician and performer who has played at festivals (Fusion, Shambala), clubs in Berlin (Subland, Urban Spree, Kosmonaut, Cassiopeia, VCF), Paris (Batofar, Glaz’art, Concorde Atlantique) and many UK cities. She also plays in the live dance jam band Poppers Revival and runs the Ableton Live User Group in Sheffield. Emily believes that everyone has a gift to share with the world, and that progress lies in aligning your thoughts and habits with your goals.
Matilda Eyre:
Originally from Germany, Matilda Eyre has made her home in London, further honing her skills as a producer, musician and singer. She’s found herself increasingly drawn to the eerie soundscapes of alternative pop and electronica; melding delicate melodies and intricate instrumentals into her productions. With shows reaching from the European Parliament election event in Berlin to Ableton's SampleNHold show in Los Angeles, Matilda Eyre has made a name for herself!
