MVA & Medway VCSEF Leaders Network 'Time to Check-in' on Local Plans
Come along to this free sector event to learn more about how important local plans, that are set to impact on the sector are progressing.
Join us as we explore what Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) means for the sector and hear updates on Medway Council's Medway Marmot Places (MMP) Project.
As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting you and keeping the sector up-to-date, this is an opportunity to ‘check-in’ on these critical plans, how they will affect you, your organisation or group, and the people you support.
We encourage everyone working in or with Medway's VCSEF sector to join us. The event is an excellent opportunity for all to stay informed, ask questions, and engage on important issues set to shape our communities in the near future.
Hear from our three guest speakers:
Medway Marmot Places Project Update - Scott Elliott - Head of Health & Wellbeing at Medway Council
Discover the latest developments, successes, and future aspirations of the Medway Marmot Places Project, including how you can get involved.
Delving into Local Government Re-organisation Plans:Cllr Vince Maple - Leader of Medway Council
Councillor Vince Maple will join us and share an update on how local plans for LGR are progressing. Understanding these plans are vital, as proposed changes will affect you and local communities.
This event is designed to equip you with the knowledge to understand proposed upcoming changes and how they might impact your organisation and the wider community, and to ask questions from those involved in rolling the plans out.
In addition, you'll have the opportunity to meet members of Medway's Transformation Alumni, and hear about how being part of the leaders network has benefited them, and from our 2025 Realising Your Potential Leaders that are set to shape the future of the VCSEF in Medway.
An agenda and more details on our guest speakers will be announced very soon! So book your free space now to make sure you don't miss out as numbers are limited.
If you have any questions please contact a member of the events team on email at vcsleaders@mva.org.uk.
Please note this event has been made possible with generous support from Gillingham Fooball Club.
