MvvmCross .NET Summer Hackfest

MvvmCross is an Open Source framework specifically developed for Xamarin and the mobile ecosystem. It supports Xamarin.iOS, Xamarin.Android, Xamarin.Mac, Xamarin.Forms, Universal Windows Platform (UWP) and Windows Presentation Framework (WPF). The project is carried about by over 175 contributors worldwide.

MvvmCross

MvvmCross is one of the projects taking part in the inaugural .NET Summer Hackfest, organized by the .NET Foundation! Running for two weeks from August 21st to September 1st, 2017 , the MvvmCross session will see contributors from around the world working together to build and improve the framework, with two exciting in-person events also planned! Participation is open to all, whether you are a first-time or long-time contributor.
The main goals are two:

How does it work?
We have created a new <A HREF="https://github.com/MvvmCross/MvvmCross/projects/2" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">GitHub project</A> which lists all of the tasks planned during the two week period. When you register, you can ask to be assigned a problem and make a pull request!
The MvvmCross Core team will review every new issue and request a request as soon as possible in the two week. Hackfest to make the experience of contributing as smooth as possible.
Can I join even if I have not contributed before?
Yes! NET Summer Hackfest is an encouragement for developers to initially contribute to Open Source .NET projects. Check our <A HREF="https://github.com/MvvmCross/MvvmCross/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Contributing to MvvmCross page</A> for more info.

1. Use Slack to get in touch with us directly, and ask quick questions. After joining the <A HREF="https://xamarinchat.herokuapp.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Xamarin Chat</A> , join the #mvvmcross channel to find all other MvvmCross users.
