Overview

Learn how to use Naloxone kits to save lives during opioid overdoses!

Naloxone Training

Join us at Lonsdale House for a short, practical session focused on naloxone.
This training covers how to recognise the signs of an opioid overdose, how to respond in an emergency, and how to safely administer injectable naloxone (Prenoxad). We’ll also share information about the support available through Change Grow Live (CGL) Birmingham.

We’ll cover:

  • What opioids are
  • What an opioid overdose may look like
  • How to respond in an emergency
  • How to administer naloxone (with a demonstration)
  • Who Change Grow Live are and what support we offer in Birmingham

All attendees will receive a certificate of attendance and a naloxone kit to take away.

This training is particularly valuable for anyone working with people who may be at risk of opioid-related harm.

If you work with people who may be affected by drug or alcohol use, follow our Eventbrite page for upcoming free courses, lunch & learns, and webinars.
We also run Drug and Alcohol Awareness sessions on the same day.

This course is for health and social care workers, volunteers, or professionals working in Birmingham only. If you’re based outside Birmingham, please contact your local services for training.
