Native Explorers: science workshops with a Portuguese twist

Description
Native Explorers is a science education and outreach initiative, co-organized by Lancaster University and Native Scientist, in partnership with Camões Institute (Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
The event takes place on Saturday, May 12, at Lancaster University.
Who can attend? Portuguese-speaking students aged 12-15 who live in the Greater Manchester and Lancashire region.
What to expect? On campus, students will be divided into groups to attend four science workshops in different fields: astrophysics, chemical engineering, plant biology and social entrepreneurship. The workshops, offered in Portuguese, will be delivered by leading Lancaster University researchers. Throughout the day, students will have the opportunity to complete a challenge and the group scoring highest for this challenge will receive a prize. Registration deadline: 30th of March. The event is free of charge but a limited number of places is available, so early registration is recommended.
