It will provide attendees with information on concepts, theories, and best practices for implementation. The talk will also address ethical considerations and include case studies and hands-on activities to help attendees put algorithms into action to solve real-world problems and drive innovation in drug discovery and clinical trial optimization. Speakers: Professors Usama Fayyad &amp; Sam Scarpino of Institute for Experiential AI at Northeastern University.Usama Fayyad is Executive Director of the Institute for Experiential AI.He is a pioneer of Big Data and AI who held leadership roles at Barclays, Yahoo!, Microsoft &amp; NASA. Founder of Yahoo! Research Labs and ML at NASA where he was awarded Caltech’s top Excellence in Research Award and a U.S. Government medal from NASA.<a href="https://provost.northeastern.edu/leadership/usama-fayyad/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></a>Sam Scarpino is Director of the Institute for Experiential AI at Northeastern &amp; Professor of Practice in Health &amp; Computer Sciences.
