Are you a parent of a young child with complex disabilities and/or medical complexities?

Navigation and Nurture is a friendly monthly group for parents looking for practical and emotional support on this challenging parenting path. The group is run by Poppy and Jemima - both experienced group facilitators and bringing our own experience of being mothers to children with complex disabilities.

The session is divided into two parts. The navigation part of the session is an opportunity to ask questions about the practical aspects of parenting your child, we often invite a relevant professional to join us for this part. Common themes are:

  • Nursery, schools and EHCPs
  • Support at home
  • House adaptations
  • Where you can take you child
  • Benefits and other things you may be able to access

In the second part of the session we spend time sharing, connecting and building emotional resilience.

For a small donation you are welcome to bring your child if this helps you to attend. We use experienced playworkers who are used to working with disabled children. The suggested amount is £5 but please pay whatever you can afford.

Support with transport costs is also available if cost is stopping you from coming.

If your child is already in school but you'd like to come along then please do.

Any questions at all please email Poppy at hello@murmurationcommunitytherapy.com
