About this event

    Alex Bernstein Garden, FREE

Meditation in Nature is an opportunity for you to switch-off and experience a deep sense of calm whilst enjoying the beauty of the grounds at The Whitworth. When we are mindful in nature we are able to be in the present moment much quicker than if we were indoors, this is because nature offers us an abundance of beauty and our natural curiosity is heightened by the sights, sounds and smells. At the end of the session, you will experience feeling lighter, less stressed and having a sense that you have connected to something bigger than yourself.

Summer Solstice is the time of year when the position of the rising or setting sun stands still in its movement along the horizon and the earth’s axis is tilted at its closest point from the sun. This means that in the northern hemisphere, the sun is at its highest point in the sky. It’s also the longest day of the year - and the shortest night. Join us as we celebrate the arrival of summer, bringing lighter day, new energy and warmth. We will explore through meditation and mindful activities what we want to bring into this new season of light. This session is led by Wild Awake Mindfulness.

To attend, please arrive no later than 5:45pm.
