In conversation with: Lady Hale

Join Lady Hale to hear about nher new book, her thoughts on access to justice and how she has helped shape British legal history. Following the discussion an audience Q&A will take place.

The event will be hosted by NCLS’ new Honorary Patron, Baroness Shami Chakrabarti, the leading human rights campaigner.

The law underpins everything in our lives, from family difficulties and workplace disputes to the regulation of government itself. And yet for many of us, the justice system feels remote, intimidating, and impenetrable.

In her new book With the Law on Our Side, Lady Hale sets out to change that. Through captivating real-life stories drawn from every level of the justice system, she shows us how the law is meant to protect us all: schoolchildren, workers, minorities, patients, and beyond.

This is not just a book about the law, it is a citizen’s handbook, revealing how justice really works and why we should all care about it.

Join Lady Hale to hear about the book, her thoughts on access to justice and how she has helped shape British legal history. Following the discussion a Q&A will take place.
