In the changing landscape of work, we see continual advances in technology taking the place of traditional human jobs; increasing automation and efficiency across all industries.

As humans, we need to re-evaluate the role that we play in the workplace. To really stand out and thrive in this fourth industrial revolution, we need to pay more attention to developing the skills that machines are unable to replicate: skills that are uniquely human. This workshop is part of a wider series which aims to unlock and strengthen these skills to better prepare you for the world of work.

Negotiation:

The art of negotiation is one of the most valued skills in all walks of life. If you understand the processes that lie beneath the language and communication of negotiation, you can negotiate more effectively and fairly.

This workshop investigates the importance of perception and subconscious judgements, and reveals how these have a direct impact on our communication and negotiating skills.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

  • Strategies to negotiate effectively and ethically
  • Developing the skill of assertiveness in order to change situations positively’?
  • How to manage conflict and preserve relationships
