Join us for a transformative Business Breakfast event hosted by Staffordshire University in partnership with Cannock Chase Council.

Discover how your business can embark on a fully funded 12-week programme to assess carbon usage and uncover potential savings, as well as apply for a £1,000 grant to help invest in greener cost-saving initiatives.

How will this project help your business?

By participating in this programme, your business will gain access to invaluable resources and expertise. Work closely with the university's experts to receive guidance on innovation, market research, and evaluating Net Zero options. Plus, explore the feasibility of integrating new technologies and processes into your operations.

Each participating business will be assigned a trained student or graduate intern who will spend 12 weeks embedded within your organisation. Collaborate with expert academics and access cutting-edge equipment, including a robotic arm, 3D printers, and laser scanners, all provided by Staffordshire University.

What's the agenda?

8.45am: Arrival and registration.

9:00-9:45: Networking and breakfast.

9:45 – 10:00: Welcome from Marek Hornak, Staffordshire University Executive Director of Business Engagement.

10:00-10.15: Guest speaker, Dr Janet Wright, Principal Lecturer and Academic Group Leader for Geography and the Environment at Staffordshire University.

10:15–10:30: Staffordshire University student, Temisanren Ukelbeyinje, will give an Innovation Consultant point of view on working on the Net Zero project.

10:30–10:45: Q&A with Ryan Schubert from RS Electrical & Property Maintenance Ltd about the benefits of taking part in the project.

11:00-11:15: Overview of all of the projects at Staffordshire University available to Cannock Businesses.

11:15: Wrap up and close.

11:30–12:30pm: 1-2-1 Innovation Surgery.

Who can attend?

Our event is offered exclusively to businesses based in the district of Cannock Chase Council region. The event will be particularly of interest to those in the manufacturing, engineering, and transport industries; however, any business is welcome to attend.
