Networking with Purpose: Networking skills workshop

Shrewsbury Flaxmill MaltingsShrewsbury, England
Wednesday, Mar 25 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm GMT
Overview

A practical workshop that helps you build deeper, more authentic professional relationships through intentional, confidence‑boosting network

Partnerships are the lifeblood of a resilient, trusted, and long-term business. Whether it is your client base, referral networks, supply chain, or the local community, the strength of your business is inextricably linked to the quality of your relationships. But how do we move beyond surface-level introductions to create deep, impactful connections?

The answer lies in intentional networking.

Many professionals view networking as a chore limited to formal "mixer" events. In reality, networking is the continuous act of building and maintaining relationships; it happens whenever people connect, often without us even realising it. This workshop, led by Ruth Martin, Director at Martin & Jones Marketing, is designed to demystify the process and give you the confidence and tools to network with authenticity and ease.

What We Will Cover:

This session focuses on the core skills required to deepen professional bonds. We will explore:

  • Mapping Your Network: Identifying different forms of networking and finding the specific spaces that align with your business goals.
  • The Art of Connection: Mastering core networking skills and how to start natural, engaging conversations.
  • Event Strategy: How to prepare for events to ensure you make the most of your time.
  • Breaking Internal Barriers: Strategies for tackling confidence issues, Imposter Syndrome, and building self-trust.

This workshop is about moving away from "transactional" interactions and moving toward genuine partnerships. You will leave with a clear roadmap for finding the right rooms, the right people, and the right words to grow your business sustainably.
