Neurological Testing for Manual Therapists
Overview
- Anatomy of the Cervical and Lumbar Spine
- Neuroanatomy of the upper and lower extremity
- Neurological examination of the upper and lower extremities
- Testing of the Cranial Nerves
- Neurodynamic testing for the upper and lower extremities
- This course builds on from the neuroanatomy in Phase 2
Pre-Course:
- You will complete worksheets that will introduce you to the neuroanatomy of the cervical and lumbar spine
- The worksheets will cover: Brachial Plexus, Lumbar Plexus, Sacral Plexus, Cranial Nerves as well as disc herniations and explanation of different types of herniation as well as the difference between radicular and radiculopathy presentations
- You will have access to over 20 hours of neurological testing theory and the pre-course work
During the morning session you will:
- Learn in-depth anatomy for the Cervical region:
- Neurological presentations for the upper extremity
- Upper Extremity Reflexes
- Neurological presentations for the lower extremity
- Lower Extremity Reflexes
- Cranial Nerve testing
- Neurodynamic testing for the upper and lower limbs
A fter the face to face day:
Submit 2 videos:
- Lower & Upper extremity neurological testing
- Cranial nerve testing
