Description
Football legends Grant Holt & Russell Martin are going to be battling it out in a Heavyweight Banter Contest in a new show ‘Never Mind The Danger’ coming to Open Norwich this October. If you like shows such as Sky’s ‘A League of their Own’ and BBC Radio’s ‘Fighting Talk’ then this show is for you!
As Team Captains, Grant and Russell will undertake a series of amusing head to head challenges in a way you have never seen them before – even singing with the ‘Never Mind The Danger’ house band!
The MC for the evening will be Will Buckley from BBC Radio 5’s Fighting Talk. Will, Grant and Russell will be joined on stage by personalities from the local sports scene such as BBC Radio Norfolk’s Chris Goreham and ex-Leicestershire player and former Norfolk Cricket Captain - Swardeston’s George Walker - plus other local celebrities to be announced soon.
Grant Holt commented, “Russ & I are delighted to be taking part in this new and exciting show with Will Buckley. Hopefully it will allow people to see footballers and other local sports and media celebrities in a different light and have a good laugh with us too. It is also great to be hosting this event at a fantastic venue like Open Norwich where we can help to support their charity too.”
Doors will open at 7pm with the fun starting at 8pm.
