New Mums' Group

Bell House is a volunteer led charity that provides creative learning for people of all ages and backgrounds. Our vision is to offer an opportunity to gather for learning, enjoyment and friendship in a special place.

Weekly drop in group for mothers with children under 1.

BELL HOUSE

Becoming a mother can come with a range of feelings, both positive and negative. Many mums feel worried and confused if they are struggling with negative feelings after having a baby. This group will provide a supportive environment where mothers can get together with others who may be struggling with one or more aspects of being a mum. This could be feeling low in mood, anxiety about being a good parent, feeling isolated and lonely, sadness about changes in your relationships etc. In addition we aim to have a speaker for a brief talk once a month. About the Group LeaderThe group is facilitated by assistant psychologists at Circle Psychology Partners and will be under the supervision of Dr Christine Langhoff, a clinical psychologist who specialises in perinatal difficulties. This will be a free session, but if you feel able please register your place. Dates of sessions:Tuesday 8th March 10am-12noon Tuesday 15th March 10am-12noonTuesday 22nd March 10am - 12noonTuesday 29th March 10am -12noonTuesday 5th April 10am - 12noonTuesday 12th April 10am - 12noonWe would ask you to read the following guidelines for your visit.•	If you or any of your group have any symptoms of COVID-19, or have been diagnosed with the virus, you must not attend the event;•	We have reduced participant numbers to enable social distancing.•	We encourage you to wear a face mask (unless you are exempt) when moving around the house;•	We would ask you to take a lateral flow on the day of the event you are attending;•	We aim to increase ventilation in the rooms, so some outside doors may will be open on arrival; we suggest you wrap up warm as the house is likely to be cooler than usual;•	Hand sanitiser will be positioned at various points in the house;•	We will have a list of people who have booked so you do not need to print off your ticket;•	We will hold your contact details which you provide via Eventbrite and we may pass them onto to NHS Test and Trace if required, in accordance with government advice.•	You will of course receive a warm welcome from our volunteers, and we look forward to seeing you at your event.
