New Year New Me Creative Writing Workshop

Join Spare Ribs Club and The Grove for a creative writing workshop where we'll use creative writing to celebrate the New Year!

Join Spare Ribs Club for an evening of creativity with Anna Dempsey, founder of The Grove, a creative writing company based in Southeast London.

This is a workshop designed to spark your creativity. Whether you're an experienced writer or just beginning to explore your creative voice, this session will provide prompts, exercises, and guidance to help you tap into your imagination.

Anna will lead you through engaging writing exercises in a supportive, feminist space.

All writing abilities welcome and all materials will be provided. Just bring yourself and your imagination!

About the facilitator: Anna Dempsey is a writer whose accolades include winning the Costa Short Story Award and being runner-up for the Bridport Novel Prize. Her work has appeared in Popshot, Litro, Dear Damsels, and other literary magazines. She holds an MA in Children's Literature and Creative Writing from Goldsmiths, University of London, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Creative Writing/Creative Grieving at Bath Spa University and the University of Bristol.
