About this event

  • Event lasts 6 hours 30 minutes

Join us for an exciting Yorkshire Cyber Security Cluster event in collaboration with Sheffield Hallam University and kindly sponsored by BCS South Yorkshire Branch and HSBC, where industry professionals and university students come together to tackle the cyber skills gap and explore pathways into cyber security careers.

This event is designed to connect students with industry leaders, offering valuable insights into the recruitment landscape, the evolving role of skills over degrees, and the real-world opportunities available in cybersecurity.

Throughout the day, final-year cyber security students will be showcasing their projects, providing a great opportunity to engage with emerging talent and cutting-edge research.

A panel discussion will explore the theme "The Future of Graduate Recruitment: Cyber Security, Forensics & Networking", where industry experts and alumni will share insights into what employers are really looking for.

In the afternoon, industry talks will cover the latest trends and career opportunities in cyber security, leading up to the Best Project Awards, where outstanding student work will be recognised.

If you’re only able to attend part of the event, that’s absolutely fine! Join us for the sessions that interest you the most. The agenda will be updated regularly as we confirm speakers, and we’ll continue to share details about talks and discussions.
