This Data Hackathon brings together decision makers with skilled healthcare analysts to provide a dynamic forum of healthcare analytics

Life Sciences Hub Wales

This Data Hackathon brings together decision makers with skilled healthcare analysts to provide a dynamic forum of healthcare analytics. This event will provide a space for challenging questions answerable through health data to be explored by analysts in partnership with decision makers. Questions raised by decision makers (domain experts and problem owners such as clinicians, managers and planners) will shape the event, and decision makers will work with analysts to find answers to their questions.

The WMC are looking for:
•	Questions to answer on the day: we need decision makers to provide questions they have about their service which can be explored through data, ahead of the day. They can be submitted through the Data Hackathon page of the WMC SharePoint site or by emailing Jennifer.Morgan@wales.nhs.uk directly.
•	Decision makers: we need decision makers / problem owners / question askers to attend the event for the opportunity to work with data analysts on their questions.
•	Health Analysts to work with the decision makers on the day: we are looking for skilled health analysts able to contribute scripting and programming skills to extract, transform and link data; analysts with specialist health domain knowledge and experience; statisticians, data scientists, visualization experts with expertise in analytical tools (such as advanced Excel, R, QGIS, PowerBI, or others).Following registration, all participants are asked to complete an expression of interest form (accessible through the NHS Wales Modelling Collaborative SharePoint site, or by emailing Jennifer.Morgan@wales.nhs.uk directly) to confirm they will comply with the rules of the Hackathon.
