Webinar: NHSDataDictionaRy – a package to standardise NHS Data Dictionary lookups

The NHS-R Community are excited to launch their latest package the NHSDataDictionaRy, this is available directly for download on CRAN. This package has been created to:

• Provide all the NHS lookups, which are always up to date and centrally maintained by NHS Digital. This package is an interface to the NHS Data Dictionary platform and allows the standardisation of lookups;• Provides common web scraping functions for working with websites;• Text functions to make the transition from Excel to R easier;• Allows for the scraping of hyperlinks from any website;• Allows the user to work with HTML tables and text, using the TableR and xpathtextR functions;• Gives the user the option to load in the lookups straight from the package;• Allows the user to work directly in R and join these lookup tables to existing data.
