KCL Humanitarian Mappers are a group of geographers based at King’s College London who like to run mapathons to add richness toOpen Street Map(OSM). OSM is like Wikipedia meets Google Maps – a map of the world, containing various information, that anyone can add to, edit and use. KCL Humanitarian Mappers

Join KCL Humanitarian Mappers to map Niamey, Niger. Niamey is subject to a variety of natural hazards including floods and extreme temperatures, against a backdrop of development challenges. Help KCL humanitarian mappers create a richer basemap which will be shared with local universities and NGOs in Niamey to better understand the spatial distribution and impacts of these hazards. 
Bring your laptop and, if you have one, a computer mouse. Beginners very much welcome - we will provide information about how to map. Experienced validators and mappers also very welcome! 
Throughout the evening we will have talks about Niamey, pizza and light refreshments.
