Live workshop: Applying to the programme – process, supervisors, mentors, and support

This live, in-person workshop supports potential applicants with additional information about the programme and application process. Sessions will clarify the roles of supervisors and mentors, what it means to work in a research delivery environment, how to create a personalised training plan, and how to obtain support from within an organisation.

Lunch is provided, with dietary needs collected at registration.

Please note: we do not cover parking expenses.

  • The application process: key steps, criteria, timelines, and common pitfalls
  • The role of supervisors: expectations, responsibilities, and engagement tips
  • The role of a mentor: complementing supervision and building an effective relationship
  • Working in a research delivery environment: roles, realities, alignment with service needs
  • Creating a personalised training plan: identifying needs, mapping learning, evidencing impact
  • Obtaining organisational support: approvals, letters of support, aligning to priorities
