This session is designed by the NIHR Research Support Service (RSS) to help innovators improve the quality and competitiveness of their applications for the Innovation Catalyst through practical tools and a clear understanding of the assessment criteria.

The NIHR Innovation Catalyst is a pilot initiative that brings together NIHR research programmes, national infrastructure, and specialist support from across the UK’s life sciences ecosystem into a single integrated model. Aligned with the 10 Year Health Plan for England and addressing Action 6 of the Life Sciences Sector plan, the Catalyst aims to generate and accelerate a pipeline of game-changing innovations for use in the NHS, delivering measurable patient benefits and unlocking economic growth for the UK. 

The workshop will help innovators to improve the quality and competitiveness of their application by sharing best practices, tips, and common pitfalls to avoid. This will include interactive practical exercises where attendees can begin applying these principles to their own project ideas in real-time.
