Learn how to use NIOC Interact, an interactive e-learning platform tackling grooming and exploitation in the Humber area.

In this webinar, we will share how to use NIOC Interact, an interactive e-learning platform, created to help users learn through short films in order to protect themselves and friends from grooming leading to sexual and criminal exploitation, including County Lines exploitation.
Who is this webinar for?
This webinar is for educators, youth and support workers, working with young people in the Humber area for whom NIOC interact is a freely available resource.
What is NIOC Interact?
Funded by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Humberside, NIOC Interact has been developed as part of the Not In Our Community campaign. Students follow interactive pathways made up of a series of short films co-produced with young people and professionals in the Humberside area. Having chosen or been allocated an age-appropriate pathway with relevant key issues, learners watch films in bitesize chunks, take part in quizzes about what they think is going on in the stories and are given video feedback from specialists.
When modules are completed, learners can take an end assessment for which they will gain a certificate of achievement when the pass mark is achieved.
Progress made by groups can be monitored by teachers and support workers to enable tailored feedback and support for young people.

About Not In Our Community:
Not in our community is developed and continually improved with young people, including survivors, to help us protect ourselves and friends from grooming and sexual or criminal exploitation.
Now in our seventh year, we co-produce resources and stories based on real life events for use on social media and in schools / other groups where young people hang out.
