Ofgem E-Serve Renewable Electricity Development

On 31 March 2017 the Northern Ireland Renewables Obligation (NIRO) closes to new generating capacity. Ofgem E-Serve has now <A HREF="https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/publications-and-updates/northern-ireland-renewables-obligation-closure-scheme" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">published draft guidance</A> for stakeholders on how we propose to administer these changes. This guidance is available for stakeholders to provide feedback on until 10 February 2017. As part of the feedback process, we are holding an event in Belfast to discuss the guidance and how the closure may affect your participation in the scheme.
The main topic of discussion will be our proposed administration of the closure of the scheme and of the grace periods, to help inform our guidance and processes. Please note the events will not be an opportunity to discuss the policy behind the changes as this has now been set by DfE.
If you would like to attend the Belfast event please register for a ticket. If you represent an organisation we ask that you sign up for one ticket. If you would like other people to attend, note this in the details and we will confirm if spaces are available. If this is not confirmed, please do not send more than one representative. For security purposes please enter the details of the person attending. If you wish to change this person, let us know at least 24 hours in advance.
We will be hosting a separate event for Micro-NIRO generators. Therefore if you are only interested in the impact of the closure on microgenerators please do not register for this event. We will announce further details of the Micro-NIRO event in due course.
