Join us on Saturday 4th June 2016 in <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="https://madlab.org.uk/find-us/" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Madlab</A> for our summer event: <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="https://manchesternlpn.wordpress.com/2016/04/29/nlpn-open-4th-june-2016/" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">OPEN </A>- sponsored by LM Information Delivery. As the speakers will be covering disparate topics, we've gone for our first ever acronym! On the day you can expect: 
Open Access - Jen Bayjoo will discuss Open Access in practice in her own unique style. 
Presentations from early career professionals - There will be four spaces available for new professionals to gain presentation experience in front of friendly crowd. The topic can be on anything related to the library profession, for more info visit our call for paper blog post. 
Engaging with library sectors - This will be a speed networking opportunity, we will have professionals from different library sectors who will talk about their experience and answer any questions you might have about their role, sector, career path etc. 
<A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://www.ned-potter.com/blog/" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Ned Potter</A> - Life, Librarianship and Everything. Ned Potter, five years on from the last time he could legitimately call himself a new professinal, talks about the things he wished he'd known earlier. 
The event will be from 10am - 4pm and afterwards there will be an opportunity to network at a bar in the Northern Quarter.
