NO BOMBS FROM BROMLEY LAUNCH

NO BOMBS FROM BROMLEY LAUNCH

Contingent WorksBromley, England
Tuesday, Jan 20 from 6 pm to 8 pm GMT
Overview

Join us for our launch of NO BOMBS FROM BROMLEY campaign, progress of our petition and upcoming election campaign strategy

Our PSC Bromley campaign to force Bromley Council to divest is accelerating. Our petition demanding full disclosure and ethical divestment is building strong public support and keeping sustained pressure on the council. We will provide an update on progress with our Freedom of Information requests, which are pushing Bromley to come clean on its investments and divest from Israeli arms companies. An FOI response from December 2024 revealed that £1.3 million of council funds are invested in these companies.

With council elections approaching, we are launching a Councillor Pledge to hold candidates publicly accountable for transparency, ethical investment, and divestment from companies linked to human rights abuses. This pledge gives voters a clear choice and raises the political cost of inaction. We are also pleased to welcome Lewis from PSC headquarters as our guest speaker, bringing national insight and momentum to strengthen our local campaign and connect Bromley’s fight to the wider movement for justice
