No More Empty Chairs - Roundtable Discussion On Isolation/School Exclusion
Event Information
About this Event
Since the beginning of the first lockdown we have all experienced the feeling of isolation. Sadly this difficult experience is all too common for thousands of young people in this country.
Every day, 41 of England’s most vulnerable students are permanently excluded from school, with less than 2% of these excluded students finishing school with the qualifications they need in maths and English.
These stats on school exclusions are as staggering as they are preventable. We have launched a campaign called No More Empty Chairs to shine a light on what should be done to solve this issue.
We will be hosting an online roundtable discussion on Thursday 25th February from 4-5.30pm with a range of speakers from across the education sector, to discuss how we can ensure that no young person becomes an empty chair.
Speakers:
Ben Lindsay, Power The Fight
Emma Atkinson, Leadership Support with Star Academies
Jack Reynolds, FBB Co-Director
Daniel Adeyeye, FBB Graduate
Irene Brown-Martin, Early Intervention Psychotherapist
