Non-Adhesive Bindings

Learn the timeless craft of non-adhesive bookbinding in this hands-on course designed for beginners and creative makers alike. Using traditional stitching techniques instead of glue, you’ll create beautiful handmade books while exploring sustainable and versatile binding methods. Throughout the course, you’ll learn paper folding, sewing structures, cover construction, and finishing techniques, leaving with a collection of unique bound books and the skills to continue bookbinding independently.

Description: In this class, we will explore two different non-adhesive book bindings (perhaps more) that require minimal tools, a japanese soft cover binding and a multi signature french binding that is a perfect little notebook or as decide per group. These two useful bindings will form a basic knowledge to move on to more advanced binding styles.
