Non Fatal Strangulation -FREE Course for people in Wales, UK

This is a 3-hour course to raise awareness of the risks and the impact of Non-Fatal Strangulation.

Cwrs 3 awr yw hwn i godi ymwybyddiaeth o’r risgiau a’r effaith sy’n gysylltiedig â Chymar-Nawdd-Marwolaeth / CNM (Non-Fatal Strangulation).
Byddwn yn ymdrin â diffiniad a mathau o CNM, arwyddion a dangosyddion o CNM, a’r peryglon sy’n deillio ohono.

Canlyniadau Dysgu’r Cwrs yn cynnwys:

• Deall difrifoldeb ac effaith CNM fel ffurf ar gam-drin domestig a’i botensial i esglaenu i lofruddiaeth.
• Adnabod arwyddion a symptomau CNM, yn y tymor byr a’r tymor hir.
• Nodi ffactorau risg ac arwyddion rhybudd sy’n gysylltiedig â CNM.
• Dysgu sut i ymateb yn effeithiol i sefyllfaoedd sy’n cynnwys CNM, gan gynnwys darparu cymorth brys i ddioddefwyr.
• Deall y ddeddfwriaeth berthnasol.

This is a 3-hour course to raise awareness of the risks and the impact of Non-Fatal Strangulation. We will cover the definition and the types of strangulation, signs and indicators of strangulation the dangers of strangulation.

The Learning outcomes include:

* Understanding the seriousness and consequences of non-fatal strangulation as a form of domestic abuse and its potential for escalation to homicide.

* Recognising the signs and symptoms of non-fatal strangulation, both immediate and long-term.

* Identifying risk factors and warning signs associated with non-fatal strangulation.

* Learning how to respond effectively to situations involving non-fatal strangulation, including providing immediate assistance and support to victims.

* Understanding the legislation.

* Providing support and resources to victims and survivors of non-fatal strangulation, including safety planning and advocacy.
