North Pier Summer Project Information Session

North Pier Summer Project Information Session

Greyhope Bay CentreTorry, Aberdeen City
Overview

Information session about our summer plans for the North Pier.

Join us for an informal info session about our North Pier plans and related volunteering opportunity.

This summer we are launching a new outreach initiative in collaboration with the Port of Aberdeen. Since it reopened to the public earlier this year, the North Pier has been a popular spot for people to walk, run, bird watch, and look for dolphins. It also offers fantastic views of the coastline, especially of Torry Battery and Greyhope Bay. This partnership is a fantastic opportunity for the charity to reach a wider community, and to engage with the people who visit the pier about the marine life, the port, and local history of the area.

For the duration of the school holidays (July to August) we aim to maintain a volunteer presence on the pier, with a focus on engaging new audiences and connecting people to the marine environment and local history. This session is intended to provide a comprehensive overview of the project, the volunteer role, and what we're hoping to achieve, and give us an opportunity to answer any questions about it.

Please note: Free tea and filter coffee will be served by our wonderful Greyhope Bay volunteers.
