Come &amp; join the Cateran Ecomuseum team for a ‘hands on’ session all about The Plaid, the ancestor of Scotland’s most iconic item, The Kilt.

You’ll be able to have a go at learning how men and women used to fold and wear the Plaid and hear about its origins and how it became such an important part of people’s cultural identity. We’ll also explore what is was made of, how the cloth was spun, what dyes were used and how folk repaired them.And along the way you’ll get to hear the spine-tingling story of The Cailleach and the Plaid!
