Not-Equal Event
Date and time
Description
This event is for researchers at RHUL who are interested in aspects of social justice and fairness affected by the developments related to Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and Algorithmic Service Design. This event will provide an occasion to talk to investigators from Not-Equal—the new EPSRC Network+ on Social Justice through the Digital Economy and have a conversation about the network’s activities and funding opportunities.
Not-Equal is a 3 year UKRI funded project that aims to build sustainable networks of interest and foster new collaborations between researchers, communities and our 35+ partners from industry, public and third sectors organisations. The goal of the network is to provide a space in which to explore and develop practical responses to issues of fairness and justice in the design and application of technologies in the Digital Economy. The Network will nurture collaborations through its Open Events’ seed-funding programme and Open Commissioning programme, which offers project funding for short and longer terms collaborations (between £5k and £40k). At the event on the 11th we’d like to hear your views about funding focus and the types of collaborative projects that might be of interest to you.
