Join us to make your own personalised recycled notebook in a hands-on workshop.
If you're a fan of our gorgeous and unique recycled notebooks, you can and come along to a workshop where you'll make your own personalised one. We'll be working in small peer-supportive groups to ensure you get the best results from your labours!
You'll learn the steps of the process and get to choose all the aspects that make your notebook a thing to cherish and enjoy.
We'll have a range of options at every step, from covers of different sizes and styles (Victorian story books with gold embellishments, specific textbooks, plain colours, quirky titles, etc), to endpapers (illustrations and photos on subjects from food to geography, science and history), pages (lined, graph, plain colours and our usual random mix including laid, hammered and art papers) and even the binding wires (bronze, antiqued, shiny or matt silver or even blue)!
You are welcome to bring your own book to make into a notebook, though the cover must be 2mm thick or less. Ideal for a well-loved but no longer read story book, or even an old school textbook of note!
Workshops run for 1.5hrs, so we ask that you arrive promptly for the session you book in for, doors will be open 10 minutes before.
The venue belongs to Learn to Live - a learning disability support and life skills charity and we are able to use it due to it being vacant for the Easter holidays.
We reccomend using the Park & Ride bus services - B or C which run to stops at the end of the road (less than 2 minutes walk) from the city centre.
