NSC Focus Group - Aquatics

<DIV CLASS="translate">The Lodge is on the National Sports Centre estate and is a 5 minute walk, 400m, from Crystal Palace Station which is just 25 minutes by mainline train from either London Bridge or London Victoria.  If you have trouble locating the Lodge - please go to the NSC reception desk where someone will help you.  </DIV>
These sessions are aimed at those who use the aquatic facilities at the NSC and those who have a strategic interest in aquatic sports.
The sessions will focus on the following themes:
Q1: Review of current use of facilities for training and events
Example discussion points:

<LI>Which groups are currently using the facilities? </LI>
<LI>Which events predominate? </LI>
<LI>Is there any coordination between groups? </LI>
<LI>What are the shortcomings / drawbacks of the current provision? </LI>
<LI>Who is staying away who could potentially be attracted to Crystal Palace?</LI>
<LI>Why is Crystal Palace important and/or unique for your sport or activity?</LI>
<LI>What does it provide that is not available elsewhere? </LI>
<LI>What are the benefits/advantages of using a multi sports centre?</LI>
</UL>
 Q2. Defining possible new provision
 Example discussion points:

<LI>What are the key ingredients for a successful venue for your sport, dedicated and ancillary facilities? </LI>
<LI>Are the facilities ‘fit for purpose.’</LI>
<LI>What is changing in your use of Crystal Palace and why? </LI>
<LI>Are there competing or alternative venues?</LI>
<LI>What are the challenges at Crystal Palace and what if anything needs to change?</LI>
</UL>
Q3. Building and sustaining usage
Example discussion points:

<LI>If there is an investment in facilities, where does this need to focus? </LI>
<LI>How can your sport continue to build a thriving usage base? </LI>
</UL>
