Museum Development East Midlands (MDEM) is part of a national network of Museum Development providers across England. MDEM offers a continually updated programme of activities and support targeted at the needs of accredited museums and those with Working Towards Accreditation status.

This workshop is part of the MDEM and Collections Trust collaborative training programme of support &amp; will focus on object entry.

Do you have an Object entry or Acquisition and accessioning issue you’d like to troubleshoot with a group of sector colleagues? Or would you like to learn about the Spectrum procedures from a more practical perspective?We will take a scenario discussion approach to explore issues and themes related to Object entry and Acquisition and accessioning. Perhaps you would like to discuss how to prevent or deal with unsolicited donations, uncollected objects, or the decision-making process for acquisitions. Small groups will each be given a different scenario to consider. Thoughts and questions will then be fed back to the wider group for open discussion. Preparation:<ul><li>Ideally we will discuss a selection of real issues and scenarios. If you have them, please do submit a scenario or question when you register – they will be made anonymous.
