OBSERVER BUILDING CENTENARY CELEBRATION

OBX is the Creative Technology hub at Hastings Commons. We are based on the mezzanine floor in the Observer Building.We work with local communities and artists to run workshops, talks, exhibitions and arts projects. We explore opportunities presented by creative technology to build stronger communities, develop great art and talent and support employment potential. We aim to be led and inspired by communities local to our building.

Celebrating the restoration of the beautiful 1924 façade of the Observer Building  in its centenary year.

Hastings Commons invites you to join us on 18th July 7.30pm – 11.30pm to celebrate the finished façade of the Observer Building. In 1924, the building never had an opening party, so this is our chance to celebrate… only 100 years late!There will be refreshments and a paid bar, music from the last 100 years and a specially commissioned song to celebrate the building. At 9pm, we will invite attendees outside for a celebratory illumination of the facade of the OB.The event is free but capicity is limited so booking is essential.

Access InfoThe event will be held at the Observer Building in Hastings.The Observer Building is best reached by public transport. Buses 20 / 21 / 22 / 99 stop close by, and the train station is 0.3 miles.
