OCDS Api Specification Community Discussion

TheOpen Contracting Data Standardis an open standard for sharing structured information on all stages of the contracting process.The OCDS Data Standard Helpdesk is funded by the Open Contracting Partnership to provide support to publishers and users of data. You can contact the helpdesk viadata@open-contracting.orgThe helpdesk can provide:Scoping notes: assessing the potential for adoption and use of OCDS;Data validation: reviewing draft and production data for technical compliance with the standard, and providing suggestions for improvements to increase the standardisation and re-usability of data;Signposting support- helping data publishers and users to identify tools, code and other resources which can support their data projects;Note: Helpdesk services are provided on a best efforts basis, without warranty of the accuracy or completeness of information provided.

As part of our ongoing commitment to improving the OCDS, we are hosting an online community discussion around api specification. 
Goals:

Which user needs were the priority?

What design decisions have been made?

Could OCDS do anything to help improve API design and development?

<LI>
To explore the potential and scope for increased guidance in OCDS 1.1 around APIs for data discovery, harvesting or querying. 
</LI>
<LI>
To identify if there should be ongoing community work on APIs.
</LI>
