Ocean Buffer Project Introductory Evening

Ocean Buffer Project Introductory Evening

Potager GardenConstantine, England
Thursday, Mar 26 from 5 pm to 8 pm
Overview

Join us for an evening to learn all about the Ocean Buffer Project. Discover what the project aims to do and find out how to get involved.

Entry is free, but please do select a ticket if you are coming to help give us an idea of numbers.

What is it?

A relaxed drop-in to learn about the Ocean Buffer Project and see if you'd like to be a part of it.

We are a not-for-profit, community-led movement based in Cornwall. We’re exploring practical, low-impact ways to support the ocean by growing small “living oceans” on land and, together as a community, working towards removing one tonne of carbon per year.

********************************************************

This evening is simply a chance to ask questions and get a feel for what we’re building. There’s no expectation of prior knowledge and no pressure to commit.

What to expect.

  • Drop in anytime between 5pm and 8pm.
  • Free entry, with free tea, coffee and cake.
  • A relaxed, inclusive space to chat and ask questions.
  • A short, optional presentation at 7pm about the project, its aims and the different ways people can get involved.

We understand that people have work, families and other commitments, so this evening is designed to be flexible and easy to dip in and out of. If there’s enough interest, we’ll also run an online introductory session at a later date for those who are unable to make this evening session - accessibility is important to us.

********************************************************

The Ocean Buffer Project has received support from the National Lottery Community Environment Fund, Cornwall Council’s Climate and Nature Fund and has won the UnLtd Millennium Awards Trust award for social entrepreneurs.

Come along, have a cuppa and see if this feels like something you’d like to be part of.
